The people of ancient India always used many tecniques which are known to be advanced technologies today.
It is a great concern for us today to learn all the techniques without being westernised.Today we find many people from all over the world coming to India for the knowledge of our past.
The Indians of the past who had vast knowledge than many other civilisations were considered to be the best of all.One great truth about the country India is that many different rulers came for the resources and knowledge and were really credited for all the work they have done.
We the Indians should be ready to fight for what we have lost and is being claimed by other countries
It has already started from the Indians abroad claiming for the credit we have lost in discovering many things without which the world would have possibly been to a halt by now.
Coming to the astrological contribution of India it has been a long past since the people of ancient civilisations started calculating the time of day and night, number of days in a month and also the seasons of the year.
The people in ancient days were very much eco-friendly and always lived with the nature so they had only a very few natural disasters but today we all do not live with the nature but started to live against it.
This is a very bad sign for the people.the tsunami caused in the 2006 was a clear example of what extent nature can cause damage.

The purposes of a Vedic Astrology consultation are to use our conscious free will to learn more about the destiny-patterns influencing our lives, and discuss and implement measures that may help lessen suffering and enhance well-being. The ultimate goals of Vedic Astrology are to help us lead lives more in harmony with our deepest nature, and enhance our awareness of the light of consciousness. In this way, the Astrology chart is seen as a portrait of our souls Karma - it shows the actions our soul will take and why. It shows what we have learned in past lifetimes, what we need to learn in this lifetime in order to be fulfilled, and most importantly, how to align our intentions with these deeper lessons. By assessing the disposition of the planets, signs, and houses, a Vedic astrologer sees which lessons will be learned with ease and which lessons will be harder to learn.
By using scientific and precise methods developed for thousands of years, Vedic astrologers have become trusted advisors in all areas of life and are respected professionally. Vedic Astrologer makes a chart for prediction that is called Janampati (Horoscope). After reading the horoscope astrologer is able to predict someone’s Past, Present and Future also. Vedic Astrologer follows the principle of Vedic astronomy also for the calculation of the movement of nine planets which is called gochar (transit). Astrology is viewed and practiced as a science in India, not just as a fringe pastime.
Here is the history about Vedic Astrology. The Sanskrit word for Vedic Astrology, Jyotish translates as “the knowledge of light”. Jyotish is the one branch of the Vedas. The Vedas are the source teachings of Vedic Indian culture and of a universal spirituality. Their origin predates recorded history more then five thousand years ago. Even though the Vedas are thought to be the oldest books known to mankind, at least five thousands years old, but the "Vedic Sciences" are still practiced today. The Vedas was cognized by Rishis (“sages”), who passed on their wisdom by telling it to the next generation. The oral tradition continues to this day, although a portion of the information is written down. The Vedas pose questions and answers to our ultimate concerns about life, birth and death, suffering and happiness, poverty and prosperity, consciousness, and the eternal. The Rishis developed six branches (Vedangas) to help us understand the Vedas. Vedic Astrology is one branch created to help us see our way through life with greater clarity. The eighteen sidhantas (documents ) had been written by famous Sages and Vedic astronomers e.g. Surya , Pitamaha , Vayas , Vashishta , Atri , Parashara , Kashyap , Narad , Garg , Mirich Manu , Angira, Lomash , Polish , Chayvan , Yvan , Bhrigu , Shonak , etc
Vedic Astrology is a system used to assess, forecast, and improve the quality of our lives. Vedic Astrologers interpret the observed conditions of the cosmos at the time of our birth to gain insight into the destiny-patterns influencing us. This information is viewed in context of what the birth-chart reveals about our daily lives. Astrology helps align our life course with the universal forces influencing us. Vedic Astrology help us live a more peaceful, conscious, and happy life. Our sense of self, relationships, education, career, finances, health, and spirituality are all intertwined with our likes and dislikes, and with our destiny-patterns.
Relationship compatibility is especially important, since all components of life involve relationships. Vedic Astrologers can analyze a person’s relations with family-of-origin, partner/spouse, children, in-laws, friends, neighbors, teachers, students, employers, employees, business and financial partners and endeavors, and so on.
A central assumption in Vedic Astrology is the existence of free will, without which all helping disciplines would be useless. Misuse of "karma". Karma is mistakenly viewed as our fate, something we are stuck with. From the perspective of the Vedas, karma means both action and reaction. These actions and experiences form our Karma. The word "Karma" simply means action. Destiny is not predetermined. It is determined by our actions, which we can change by using our free will.
First the zodiac was divided into twelve rasis,( zodiac sign ) to study the effects of the planets placed there. Then the ancient seers added another sub divisional system of breaking down the zodiac into 27 Nakshatras or star constellations. Each nakshatra has a span of 13 degrees and 20 minutes. After that each nakshatra was further subdivided into 4 Padas, or quarters, of 3 degrees and 20 minutes. Hence the first zodiac sign Aries, which has 30 degrees, contains the entire 4 padas (13:20') of the 1st star constellation Ashwini, the entire 4 padas (13:20') of the 2nd star constellation Bharani and the 1st pada (3:20') of the third star constellation Krittika. So each rasi contains total 9 padas. These nakshatras belong to three main groups: Deva or divine, Manusha or human and Rakshasa or Demonic. They have different ruling deities, owned by different planets and have divergent qualities. Hence while studying the effects of a planet placed in Aries, it is also studied in which nakshatra it is placed and in which pada of that nakshatra it is placed. This system of analysis exists only in Indian astrology.No. | Nakshatra(Star) | Longitude Sign-Deg- Min | Lords |
